Healthy protein papaya smoothie

Everybody has their favorite fruit. My favorite fruit is papaya. The smell of papaya takes me back to Peru.

When I was a child, my mom used to take me to a juice bar in the farmer market of my neighborhood. The decoration of the bar was papayas and mangoes all around the bar. We always ordered papaya juice. Just plain papaya, it is so delicious, no need for sugar.

Here are some benefits of eating papaya:

Good source of vitamina A

Natural laxative

Strengthens muscles

Brain development(babies & toddlers)

Control skin ulcers

Improve digestion

Prevents colon cancer

Eliminate intestinal worms

Here I am sharing one of my favorite ways of preparing a papaya smoothie.

Kiara's smoothie:


  • 1/2 cup ripe papaya

  • 1/2 banana

  • 1/2 cup almond milk, add more if you like thinner consistency.

Pour all the ingredients in a blender. Blend until all the ingredients are well mixed.

Mama's smoothie:


  • 1 cup papaya

  • 1 banana

  • 1 cup almond milk

  • 1 scoop protein powder

  • 1 tbsp. maca

Pour all the ingredientes in a blender. Blend until all the ingredients are well mixed.
