Healthy Snacks

Hello everybody!! Happy 2018!

I hope you had have a wonderful holiday! Is now 2018 and with it comes resolutions, goals, dreams that we all want to achieve. Let's work hard to get where we want and push ourselves out of our comfort zone to achieve things that we have never imagined. Sky is the limit so let's do this!!!

One of my personal goals (as many of you, I am sure) is get back with my fitness routine and with this comes eat healthier. I have decided to post on my social media healthy snack ideas. I am going to try my best to post at least one snack idea and I will all add it here.

Wednesday 3rd :

Keep it simple! Easier than this nothing!

Avocado toast:

  • whole wheat bread

  • avocado

  • pinch of salt

Here there are some health benefits:

Avocados offer nearly 20 vitamins and minerals in every serving.

Avocado is loaded with heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids.

Potassium (helps control blood pressure), Lutein (good for your eyes), Folate (crucial for cell repair and during pregnancy).

Good source of vitamin B which help you fight off desease and infection.

Low in sugar, loaded with fiber.

Snack of the day!

Peanut butter, banana, blueberries & honey whole wheat toast

Peanut butter, banana, blueberry toast is a nutritious food that supplies a healthy dose of fiber, protein and certain vitamins and minerals. Healthy fat, energy booster.

This one is a must try!

Friday 5th:

Baked sweet potatoes!

Baked sweet potato

Preheat your oven 400d. Wash your sweet potatoes, pat dry and poke you potatoes with a fork. Into the oven for an hour or until caramelized.

Some health benefits of eating sweet potatoes down below:

They are high in vitamin B6.

They are a good source of vitamin C.

They are a good source of vitamin D, which helps build healthy bones.

Sweet potatoes contain iron and support a healthy immune system.

They are a source of potassium.

Sweet potatoes help ward off cancer and protect against the effects of aging.
