Superfood Cacao Drink Recipe
Since I shared a post on my Instagram about my "good for you" hot cocoa. Some of you have been asking which cacao powder to buy? Which one I used? so I have decided to make a post and share my recipe and some information about cacao.
Here are a few health benefits of eating cacao:
Rich in antioxidants. It protect against damage from free radicals. They are associated with anti-aging, a strong inmune system, cardiovascular health, lower colesterol and blood pressure.
High in magnesium, an essential mineral for supporting metabolism, energy, heart health and relaxation.
Full of theobromine, a natural alkaloid that is linked to increase alertness and energy. It stimulates the nervous system to energize the body while having a calming effect on the brain.
The cacao powder I use is the brand Imlakesh organics.
I do prefer organic raw cacao powder.
1 cup milk of your choice
1 tablespoon cacao powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon raw honey
Warm up your milk, add the rest of your ingredients and mix it well.
